Where possible we buy from local, independent, owner-managed businesses. Whoever we buy from though, whether they are local or not, we expect our suppliers to deliver goods and services of merchantable quality at a fair and competitive price. In return we pay all invoices immediately we receive them. We do not goof people around and make them wait for their money.
We realise that this does not accord with a lot of accepted business doctrine, that says businesses should draw payment terms out as long as possible, but we are not interested in playing those games. If somebody is a good supplier, we want to keep them in business, and when somebody has done a good job, they deserve to be paid for it without delay. Maybe this is one reason why a lot of our own suppliers have become clients of our company. They know we play it straight.
